Journolist Listserv: A Conspiracy? By Definition Yes

Back last November we had Climategate with the release of the CRU emails, now we have the Journolist scandal really starting to pick up steam from the release of emails from that now defunct listserv. One thing that is happening now that also happened back then is that a lot of people keep shying away from the most complete definition of what is revealed by both sets of emails, and that word is CONSPIRACY.

Now the reason that people shy away from it, is because of some misconceptions attached to the word: Conspiracies are the realm of kooks, they really don’t happen and so forth. Well folks if you believe that you are so wrong it’s not even funny. You see the biggest mistake people make is that they equate the word CONSPIRACY with CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY. That’s right they are not one in the same, it’s like rectangles and squares: While every square is a rectangle, not all rectangles are squares. It is the same with conspiracies: While all Criminal Conspiracies are conspiracies, not all conspiracies are criminal conspiracies.

First lets check the definition of the word conspire:

con·spire   /kənˈspaɪər/[kuhn-spahyuhr] verb, -spired, -spir·ing.

–verb (used without object)

1. to agree together, esp. secretly, to do something wrong, evil, or illegal: They conspired to kill the king.

2. to act or work together toward the same result or goal.

–verb (used with object)

3. to plot (something wrong, evil, or illegal).

Now right there in the first definition it tells you that all it takes is to agree together(also it doesn’t require what you agree with to be illegal) and the second to act or work together toward the same result or goal.

To show this in an example you have a bunch of 9 and 10 year olds playing football in a field near Mrs. Jones house. Mrs. Jones is not home and not one of those children are one of hers (shes 70!). While playing, the football goes awry and knocks over one of Mrs. Jones’ planters, breaking it. The kids quickly run and retrieve the ball and do what comes naturally at that age: They check to see if anyone saw them do it. They see no evidence that anyone saw them so they dash 3 doors down the block to little Timmy’s house and hide behind the shed. There the boy that is the “leader” says “Say nothing about this if your parents ask, you don’t know how it happened.” Then they go on and finish playing.

Guess what people you just seen the formation of a conspiracy. The kids all agree together and will act together to keep the truth about how Mrs. Jones’ planter got broken. Notice they are plotting to cover up their own wrong doing meeting all 3 definitions for the word CONSPIRE.

So just like those boys the so called reporters of the Journolist are a conspiracy as shown by their own words. They plotted to shift focus off the Rev. Wright story, not because Rev. Wright was not newsworthy but because they wanted Obama elected. That is a plot to do something wrong in the journalism profession. Others went so far as to try to get others to act together to call someone a racist, whether they were one or not to deflect attention. That is not just wrong but also evil.

In the end there is a left wing conspiracy of journalists, just not a criminal one, unlike Climategate which was proven by an office of the British Government (ICO) that there was a criminal conspiracy to break the UK’s Freedom of Information Act laws. So we need to call what the Journolist listserv what it really is: A group of left wing journalists formed into a conspiracy to shape the news to reflect their own personally held beliefs.

Oh and by the way for all you left wing loonies: Good Job you just proved what Rush Limbaugh has been saying now for decades was completely correct.
